HistoryEdit

On September 25, 2016 Mitsuya Nagai and Takeshi Minamino announced that they would form a group named Dark Nightmare a spin-off stable of Dark Kingdom led by KENSO. On October 9 Nagai and Minamino unsuccessfully challenged Evolution (Atsushi Aoki and Hikaru Sato) for the All Asia Tag Team Championship. In October Tatsuhito Takaiwa along with Black Tiger V, Black Tiger VII joined the stable. In November Tiger V and Minamino would enter in the Jr. Tag Battle of Glory. During the tournament, Great Tiger joined the stable. Tiger V and Minamino would have a great start winning their first two matches. However, Tiger V and Minamino would lose the rest of their matches a lost against Evolution (Atsushi Aoki and Hikaru Sato) would cost them a place in the finals, finishing the tournament with four points. At the end of the month Great Tiger, Black Tiger V and Black Tiger VII with Tiger Mask III Tigre en Mascarado would bring the first accomplishment to the stable the FMW World Street Fight 8-Man Tag Team Championship defeating Atsushi Onita, Raijin Yaguchi, Hideki Hosaka and Hi69 to become the first champions. In December Tiger VII and Nagai would take part of the World's Strongest Tag Determination League. During the tournament, Dark Nightmare would start a feud with Evolution. The feud started after a match between Tiger VII and Nagai and Atsushi Aoki and Suwama ended in a DQ. At the end of the tournament, Tiger VII and Nagai would end the tournament with only two points (one victory and four losses). The feud got even worse that it culminated into a match. One of the stipulations were that if Dark Nightmare won Suwama would have to join Tiger VII in a match at Wrestle-1.

On May 21 Nagai unsuccessfully challenged Jun Akiyama for the Gaora TV Championship. Later that night Tiger VII unsuccessfully challenged Hikaru Sato for the World Junior Heavyweight Championship.
