WORLD-1 was a professional wrestling stable in the Japanese promotion Dragon Gate, May 31, 2008. On April 14, 2011 Susumu Yokosuka, BxB Hulk and PAC failed to win the Open the Triangle Gate Championship from Blood Warriors (CIMA, Dragon Kid and Ricochet) and as a result World-1 was forced to disband.

Formation[]

On May 5, after weeks of dissension, Naruki Doi and Masato Yoshino splited from the Muscle Outlaw'z, turning face after costing Yasushi Kanda his hair in a Mascara contra Cabellera (Mask vs. Hair) Cage Survival Six-Way Match and also they invite Naoki Tanizaki to join them which he accepted. On May 14 m.c.KZ joined them and also after Shingo Takagi and Cyber Kong turned on BxB Hulk ending New Hazard after that Hulk joined them and Hulk, Doi, Yoshino, m.c.KZ, Tanizaki formed a stable also at that very same day Hulk, Doi, Yoshino had an opportunity for the vacated Open the Triangle Gate Championship but lost to Real Hazard (Shingo Takagi, Gamma and Yamato). On May 31 they named the of the stable was World-1.

Championship and accomplishments success[]

On June 29 Yoshino dressed as (Dr.Muscle) defeated Gamma for the Open the Gamma Gate Championship but after the match the title was renamed again to Open the Brave Gate Championship and Yoshino revealed himeself dressed as Dr.Muscle and vacated the title. On July 27 Tanizaki, Yoshino and Doi had an opportunity for the Open the Triangle Gate Championship in a Twelve Man Tag Team Four Way Elimination but they lost, also in that night m.c.KZ had an opportunity for the vacated Open the Brave Gate Championship but lost to Genki Horiguchi. On August 9 to August 28 Yoshino and Doi participated at second Summer Adventure Tag League and they finished the tournament with 10 points advancing to the semifinals and Hulk and Tanizaki also participated at the tournament finishing the tournament with 2 points, at the semifinals Yoshino and Doi defeated Ryo Saito and Susumu Yokosuka to advancing to finals and at the finals Yoshino and Doi defeated Shingo Takagi and Dragon Kid to win the tournament. On August 5 World-1 had another opportunity for the Open the Triangle Gate Championships but they lost to the champions Real Hazard (Gamma, YAMATO and Yasushi Kanda). On August 13 World-1 made their debut on USA by debuting at the promotion ROH Hulk, Doi and Yoshino lost to Dragon Kid, El Generico and SHINGO. On September 26 Doi and Yoshino defeated Typhoon (Ryo Saito and Susumu Yokosuka) for the Open the Twin Gate Championship. On October 4 Doi and Yoshino lost the Open the Twin Gate Champions to Real Hazard (Cyber Kong and YAMATO). On October 12 Yoshino defeated Genki Horiguchi for the Open the Brave Gate Championship. On November 16 Tanizaki and Doi had an opportunity for the Open the Twin Gate Champions but they lost to the champions Real Hazard (Cyber Kong and YAMATO).

On December 2 to December 19 Hulk, Tanizaki and Doi participated at the 2008 King of Gate and Tanizaki came all the way to the second round losing to losing to Don Fujii and Hulk was eliminated at the semifinals to wis fellow World-1 member Naruki Doi and at the finals Doi defeated Masaaki Mochizuki to win the tournament. On December 28 Doi defeated Shingo Takagi to win the Open the Dream Gate Championship also World-1 had an Three Way Nine Man Tag Team Elimination Losing Team Must Split and they defeated Typhoon (Dragon Kid, Ryo Saito and Susumu Yokosuka) and Typhoon disbanded. On January 13, 2009 PAC joined the stable. Five days later Hulk, mcKz and Tanizaki had an opportunity for the Open The Triangle Gate Titles and they lost to the champions Don Fujii, Magnitude Kishiwada and Masaaki Mochizuki. On March 22 Hulk, Tanizaki and PAC had an opportunity for the Open The Triangle Gate Titles but they lost in a Three Way Elimination match against KAMIKAZE (Dragon Kid, Shingo Takagi and Taku Iwasa) and Real Hazard (Kenichiro Arai, YAMATO and Yasushi Kanda), also in that night Yoshino lost the Open the Brave Gate Champion to Cima. On April 18 to 19 Hulk and Yoshino participated in tournament for the 1 Contendership for the Open the Twin Gate titles and they lost at the finals to Real Hazard (Genki Horiguchi and Ryo Saito). On May 24 Hulk, Yoshino and Pac had an opportunity for the Open the Triangle champions but they lost to WARRIORS-5 (CIMA, Gamma and KAGETORA). On June 7 Hulk, Pac and Yoshino finally manage to win the Open the Triangle Gate titles by defeating WARRIORS-5 (CIMA, Gamma and KAGETORA). On June 26, mcKZ officially quit WORLD-1 and joined up with heel stable Real Hazard, after helping Ryo Saito and Genki Horiguchi retain their Open the Twin Gate Titles against CIMA and Gamma under the Dr. Muscle disguise and unmasking after the match. The next night, he changed his name to Kzy (pronounced "kay-zee") and debuted a completely new look. On July 19 Hulk, Yoshino and Pac defeated KAMIKAZE (Akira Tozawa, Dragon Kid and Taku Iwasa) making their first successfully title defense also later in that night Doi defeated Cima to win the Open the Brave Gate title and the match was also for the Open the Dream Gate title. Nine days later Doi vacated the title due to also holding the Open the Dream Gate title. On August 1 to August 26 at the 2009 Summer Adventure Tag League Yoshino and Hulk, and Tanizaki and Doi participated at the tournament Tanizaki and Doi finished the tournament with 9 points and Yoshino and Hulk with 11 points and they advanced to the semifinals but Hulk and Yoshino lost to Masaaki Mochizuki and Katsuhiko Nakajima.

Four days later after the tournament Naoki Tanizaki defeated KAGETORA in a tournament final for the vacant Brave Gate Champion. On October 13 Kotoka Shiiba joined the stable (but later renamed to Kotoka). One day later Yoshino, PAC and Hulk lost the Open the Triangle Gate champions to Veteran-Gun (Masaaki Mochizuki, Don Fujii and Akebono). On January 11 Tanizaki lost the Open the Brave Gate champion to K-ness. On January 16 to January 17 Yoshino and Doi participated at the tournament Open The Twin Gate Title Participation Team and they won the tournament by defeating Real Hazard (K-ness and Susumu Yokosuka) at the finals. On February 10 Yoshino and Doi received their opportunity for the Open the Twin Gate Titles but they lost to the champions WARRIORS-5 (CIMA and Gamma). On March 22 Doi lost the Open The Dream Gate title to Yamato. On April 3 to April 14 Doi, Hulk and Yoshino participated at the 2010 King of Gate and Doi lost to Dragon Kid at the first round, Yoshino was eliminated at the semifinals by Dragon Kid and Hulk was also eliminated at the semifinals by Shingo Takagi. On April 25 Hulk and Yoshino received an opportunity for Open The Twin Gate titles but lost to the champions Cyber Kong and Shingo Takagi. On May 30 Hulk and Tanazaki received an opportunity for the Open the Twin Gate Titles but they lost to Kne-suka (K-ness and Susumu Yokosuka). On June 20 Tanizaki, Doi and Pac defeated WARRIORS (CIMA, Gamma and Genki Horiguchi) to win the Open The Triangle Gate titles but four days later they lost the titles back to WARRIORS (CIMA, Gamma and Genki Horiguchi). On July 11 Yoshino defeated Yamato Open the Dream Gate champion. On July 30 to August 15 at the 2010 Summer Adventure Tag League Doi and Yoshino participated at block A and Hulk and Tanizaki at block B, Doi and Yoshino finished their block with 6 points and Doi and Yoshino advanced to the semifinals, and Hulk and Tanizaki finished their block with 2 points at semifinals Doi and Yoshino defated K-ness and Susumu Yokosuka to advanced to the finals and at the finals Doi and Yoshino defeated Ryo Saito and Genki Horiguchi to win the tournament. On July 16 in Dragon Gate USA after Bryan Danielson defeated SHINGO, Danielson joined WORLD-1.[1] On August 14 Yoshino defeated Tigers Mask for the Brave Gate Champion but after the match he vacated th title due to also holding the Open the Dream Gate Championship.

On August 29 PAC defeated Susumu Yokosuka in a tournament final to win the vacant Open the Brave Gate title. On September 9 Hulk, Tanizaki and Doi failed to capture the Open The Triangle Gate titles by losing to WARRIORS (CIMA, Gamma and Genki Horiguchi) after the match team then argued with one another and agreed to face off in a Three Way Match on October 3. On September 17 following another loss, Tanizaki finally snapped as he and his partner BxB Hulk argued over the loss and was stopped by Dr. Muscle who then attacked BxB Hulk and gave him an Implant, he offered a handshake to Tanizaki and was refused. Later on in the main event pitting his World-1 teammates Masato Yoshino and Naruki Doi against K-ness and Susumu Yokosuka for the Open The Twin Gate Championship he attacked both Yoshino and Susumu giving both men an Implant but then laying Yokosuka over Yoshino costing them the titles. He further cemented his betrayal of World-1 by joining up with The Deep Drunkers Stable thus completing his heel turn. On October 13 in a Six Man Tag Team No Disqualification match Hulk, Yoshino and Doi defeated Deep Drunkers (Kzy, Naoki Tanizaki and Yasushi Kanda) after the match Deep Drunkers disbanded and after the match Doi turned on Yoshino and Hulk and joined the former Deep Drunkers and Takuya Sugawara to form a new heel group.

Disbanding[]

On December 4 Susumu Yokouska and K-ness joined WORLD-1. On February 10 CIMA, Naruki Doi and Gamma defeated World–1 representatives Masato Yoshino, BxB Hulk and Susumu Yokosuka in a six-man tag team match and as a result, PAC was forced to leave WORLD–1 and join Blood Warriors. However, Ricochet blocked the move as he felt that he, not PAC, was the top high flyer in the world and instead challenged him to a match for his Open The Brave Gate Championship. The title match between PAC and Ricochet took place on March 1 and ended with PAC retaining his title. On March 4 World-1 (Hulk, Yoshino, Pac and Yokosuka) lost to Blood WARRIORS (CIMA, Naoki Tanizaki, Naruki Doi and Ricochet) in an Eight Man Tag Team Loser Revives Survival Elmination match. On April 13 Yoshino and PAC defended the Open the United Gate Championship by defeating Blood WARRIORS (Dragon Kid and Ricochet). One day later Yokosuka, BxB Hulk and PAC failed to win the Open the Triangle Gate Championship from Blood Warriors (CIMA, Dragon Kid and Ricochet) and as a result World-1 was forced to disband.

Dragon Gate USA[]

On October 29, 2010, Masato Yoshino and BxB Hulk founded the American version of WORLD-1 also Hulk made his seventh title defense of the Open the Freedom Gate Championship by defeating SHINGO. As the first American representatives they brought Homicide to the stable. On May 7 Pac joined to the stable because he was already part of the stable in Japan also Hulk and PAC lost to KAMIKAZE USA (SHINGO and YAMATO). On January 28, 2011 Hulk lost the Freedom Gate Championship to Yamato. Two days later Yoshino and PAC defeated Ronin (Chuck Taylor and Johnny Gargano) in a round robin tournament to become the first Open the United Gate Champions. On April 3 Yoshino and PAC made their first title defense by defeating Blood WARRIORS (CIMA and Naruki Doi). After World-1 disbanded they continued in the USA. On June 3 Yoshino and PAC defeated Akira Tozawa and YAMATO and that was their last match together as World-1 and their reign continued as Junction Three.
