The GHC Tag Team Championship (GHCタッグ王座 GHC Taggu Ōza) is the top tag team championship in the Pro Wrestling NOAH (NOAH) promotion. "GHC" is the acronym of the NOAH's governing body, the Global Honored Crown. The title was introduced on October 19, 2001, when Vader and Scorpio defeated Jun Akiyama and Akitoshi Saito in a tournament final. Though it is typically contested among heavyweights (>100 kg (220 lb; 16 st)), some junior heavyweights such as Naomichi Marufuji and Yoshinari Ogawa have held it in the past. The GHC Tag Team Championship is not the only tag team title contested for in NOAH; the GHC Junior Heavyweight Tag Team Championship is also sanctioned by NOAH. All GHC Tag Team Title matches and contract signings were overseen and introduced by NOAH title commissioner Joe Higuchi until his death in October 2010 and he was replaced by Harley Race.
Like most professional wrestling championships, the title is won via the result of a scripted match. Title changes usually happen at NOAH-promoted tours; although the title has only changed hands twice at a non-NOAH event, it has been defended in several other promotions.
