The WEW Junior Heavyweight Championship is the top singles junior heavweight championship in the Pro Wrestling A-TEAM (A-TEAM) promotion, specifically for the junior heavyweight (<100 kg) workers.

The creation of the title was announced on March 3, 2017, with a tournament that took on August 11, 2017 in which Tsuyoshi Kikuchi defeated HASEGAWA, Masamune and Nobutaka Moribe in a tournament final to become the inaugural champion. This is the eight title under the WEW name, although WEW means World Entertainment Wrestling, WEW closed in 2004 and the title is not part of WEW.

The title belt shares a similar design to the WEW Openweight Championship, the only differences between the titles are that the title has a blue strap and the word Junior Heavyweight in the middle.

History

On March 3, 2017 A-TEAM announced the creation of the WEW Junior Heavyweight Championship a new champion would be crowned in August. Although the title shares WEW name, the title was created after the closing of World Entertainment Wrestling in 2004.

On August 10, 2017, it was revealed the participants of the tournament, then the tournament bracket was announced and it was going to be an eight-man single elimination tournament. The following day, Tsuyoshi Kikuchi defeated HASEGAWA, Masamune and Nobutaka Moribe in a tournament final to become the first WEW Junior Heavyweight Champion.
